Keeling Roundabout
Keeling Roundabout – Newcastle Test Centre Area
Keeling Roundabout is one of the quirkiest little circles of chaos in the Newcastle-under-Lyme test area. It’s tiny, but packed with an absurd number of exits — almost like someone tried to squeeze a full-sized star system onto a dinner plate 🚀.
To break it down:
Exit 1: A very small side road immediately on your left.
Exit 2: The road leading up toward the hospital.
Exit 3: Another small lane tucked in close after the hospital turn.
Exit 4 (Straight Ahead): This is the one learners often misunderstand. “Straight ahead, fourth exit” means the exit right in front of you, not one of the side lanes.
Exit 5: The final turn as you loop around.
Because the exits are tightly packed, instructions can sound confusing if you’re not familiar with the layout. Precision matters here. Listening carefully to the examiner’s directions and recognising the exit numbers is essential for avoiding last-second drifting.
